Today I am going to show you 12 all new shades by Zoya that will put you into the fall/winter frame of mind.
I love fall! It is absolutely my favorite season. I don’t want our warm summer weather to leave us yet, but there is nothing better than fall! Hoodies, cute boots, football and pumpkin flavored everything! These are things I think of when I think of the upcoming season. Now I will also be thinking of these gorgeous, vampy shades by Zoya.
This collection will be available August 15th. That is in a couple days… which means fall is right around the corner.
Up first are the cremes. These are described as one coat cremes and I did find that true for a few, but not all of them.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “AUGUST”
“August” is a mid tone, full coverage gray. Shown is one coat and no top coat.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “MALLORY”
“Mallory” is a vibrant Prussian blue with a deeply saturated color. Shown is one coat and no top coat. This one was a stainer for me. I always use a base coat when I swatch and I still had trouble getting this one off of my nails. And when I did try to remove it, my cuticles and skin around my nails turned a bit green. I was able to get it off completely, but I wanted to warn others.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “TARA”
“Tara” is a purple plum with a balanced tone between red and purple. Shown is one coat and no top coat.
The second picture shows how much this one actually needed a second coat. I got quite a few air bubbles.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “COURTNEY”
“Courtney” is a deep red beet root shade. Shown is two coats and no top coat. The first coat of this one went on very sheer. The second coat eliminated that problem.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “WYATT”
“Wyatt” is a true racing green with a deep pigment. Shown is two very thin coats and no top coat. I am sure I could’ve gotten away with only one coat but that dang VNL veered it’s ugly head again.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “NOAH”
“Noah” is a mid-range taupe evenly balanced between yellow and grey. Shown is one coat and no top coat.
All of the cremes applied smooth and with no application issues. My only big issue was the staining from Mallory and the air bubbles in Tara. Also, I hope you didn’t mind the reflections on my nails. That’s how shiny all of the colors were without top coat!
Up next are the metallics and holos. I have more pictures of these because there is so much more to see!
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “ALICIA”
“Alicia” is a linear holo with a touch of gold and also…me! I am so glad after years of using Zoya they finally have my name! Shown is three thin coats plus top coat.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “TROY”
“Troy” is a liquid pewter with a foil finish and an edgy touch of black and gold. Shown is one coat plus top coat. The finish of this one was a bit tricky when removing, like any metallic or foil polish it left my nail but didn’t want to leave my skin. I had to take a cotton swab and acetone and really scrub the shimmer off of my fingers.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “MERIDA”
“Merida” is a lush evergreen scattered holo. I am so glad they named this one Merida. I saw this color and name and immediately thought of the green cape Merida from Brave wore. Shown is two coats and no top coat. There aren’t many times that a scattered holo like this is super shiny on it’s own, but this one is!
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “FINLEY”
“Finley” is a deep royal purple scattered holo. Shown is two coats and no top coat. This is so shiny on it’s own just like Merida.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “BRITTA”
“Britta” is a bright metallic with a red and purple, fuchsia flash. My mind went straight to Brita Water Filter when I saw this name. 😉 Shown is two coats plus top coat. The subtle holo flash makes this one a bit more special than a regular metallic polish.
ZOYA URBAN GRUNGE FALL/WINTER 2016 “ASH”
“Ash” is a vibrant cherry with a red and gold metallic shimmer. Shown two thin coats plus top coat.
All of these will be available August 15th for $10 each. And make sure to keep your eye out for nail art using some of these shades! I have a few things in mind.
Thanks for reading!
