Today I have The Holo Hookup September 2017 Royal Women to show you!
Monday…ugh! Does anyone enjoy Mondays? I know I don’t. The hubby is back to work and I get to do laundry all day until my boys go to football practice. Doesn’t that sound like loads of fun? First let me show you The Holo Hookup for September 2017. This box is themed after Royal Women. All four of our makers found inspiration in a powerful woman and brought her back to life through nail polish.
This box is filled with holo-y goodness, hence the name. ? Every month Glisten & Glow, Different Dimension and Cupcake Polish get together with a guest maker to bring us a phenomenal and well thought out box. This month Takko Lacquer is the guest and the theme is Royal Women. Pre-orders for the September 2017 box go live at 9pm EST on August 21st until August 28th at 9pm EST.
THE HOLO HOOKUP SEPTEMBER 2017 ROYAL WOMEN
All four of the polishes from The Holo Hookup September 2017 Royal Women are beautiful and I think they compliment each other wonderfully!
CUPCAKE POLISH “CLEOPATRA”
“Cleopatra” is a turquoise linear holo with gold shimmers. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Cupcake Polish has always made some of my favorite teal and turquoise polishes. This one is no different! Cleopatra was regarded as a great beauty and was the last active ruler of Ptolemaic Egypt.
On top of this stunning turquoise I added stamping using the Powder Perfect Egypt 1 plate and white stamping polish from Twinkled T.
DIFFERENT DIMENSION “QUEEN NEFERTITI”
“Queen Nefertiti” is a purple to blue multichrome linear holo with added micro glitters. Shown is two coats plus top coat. Because of the shiftiness in this one I added a few extra photos. Queen Nefertiti was one of the most powerful women of ancient Egypt.
I added stamping to this amazing multichrome using black stamping polish from Twinkled T and the Powder Perfect Egypt 1 plate. This plate is perfect for this box!
GLISTEN & GLOW “QUEEN ELIZABETH I”
“Queen Elizabeth I” is a dark red toned berry linear holographic with added pops of copper shimmers. Shown is ONE coat plus top coat. I am a lover of dark colors and this one has been moved up high on my list of berry shades! Queen Elizabeth I was the last monarch of the House of Tudor.
Using Twinkled T Gold stamping polish and Uber Chic Beauty Fairytale 02 plate I added some crowns to this perfect berry holographic.
TAKKO LACQUER “RANI OF JHANSI”
“Rani of Jhansi” is a bright pink holo with shifty green to pink shimmer. This one went on a bit thick but I still used two coats plus top coat. I have to tell you that I never heard of this Royal Woman. After hitting up Google I learned that she was Queen of Jhansi in North India in the 1800s.
Since most portraits of Rani of Jhansi show her holding a sword I added swords on top of this pink. For the nail art I used Twinkled T black stamping polish and Powder Perfect Kings & Castle 1 plate.
Because these four polishes go together so well I did two nail art looks using all of them. Up first is a fan brush design over black.
To achieve this look I started with a black base and then using a fan brush I added the four holos. I then stamped over it using Twinkled T white stamping polish and Uber Chic Beauty plate 18-03.
Next up is a wet brush design.
For this looks I did a wet brush manicure using all four of the holos from this box and then stamped over it using Twinkled T black stamping polish and Uber Chic Beauty OP Art Magic plate.
Don’t forget that this will become available on August 21st at 9pm EDT!!!
