An all new winter collection!
Making a snow angel is one of the best things to do in the winter. I have probably made hundreds in my lifetime and now my children make them. The hardest part is standing up and having the angel still look right. 😉 Today I will be sharing an all new collection from Polished For Days inspired by snow. The Snow Angels collection releases on December 16th at 11am PST. Order in the first few days and get $1 off each polish. (Ends 12/18 at 11pm PST.) Any order over four bottles will get upgraded to priority shipping!
This collection is filled with words you probably never heard of so I will be sharing their meanings and where they are derived from. I used two coats plus top coat for every one of these polishes. They all apply great and I had zero issues.
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “AKITLA”
“Akitla” (Inuit) means snow falling on water. This is a bright aqua scattered holo with a violet-orange shimmer, tiny sterling silver flakes and small gold flakes. I could have gotten away with only one coat for this one.
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “DRIFTA”
“Drifta” (Old Norse) means snow flurry. This is a grey creme with a strong pink shimmer, pink-gold shimmer and pink-purple micro flakes. They grey and pink in this have mixed and make a gorgeous purple! I love it!
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “HAUKEA”
“Haukea” (Hawaiian) means white snow. This is a white linear holo with a pink-gold shimmer. My camera didn’t want to capture this as well as I had hoped. The holo is more dramatic in person.
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “KAYI”
“Kayi” (Inuit) means drifting snow. This is a holographic silver micro glitter with aqua and navy glitters, copper-green-gold shifting flakes and a blue-purple-red shimmer. If only drifting snow were actually this pretty!
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “LUMI”
“Lumi” (Finnish) means snow. This is a pale icy blue scattered holo with a strong blue-pink shimmer, blue iridescent flakes, navy-violet shifting flakes, sterling silver flakes, blue-grey flakes and slate grey flakes. This is such a pretty a blue! The flakes are so shifty that it actually looks multi-colored.
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “MENTLANA”
“Mentlana” (Inuit) means pink snow. This is a deep rose pink linear holographic with bronze micro flakes. The micro flakes are very micro and hard to see in the photos, but they are definitely there!
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “PYRY”
“Pyry” (Inuit) means snowstorm. This is a deep cornflower blue linear holo with magenta-green-gold flakes. This is my favorite of the eight!
POLISHED FOR DAYS SNOW ANGELS “SHIYA”
“Shiya” (Inuit) means snow at dawn. This is a navy jelly base with a violet-orange shimmer, gold sparks, and violet-pink-gold shifting flakes. This is a perfect navy!
I also did some snowflake nail art over a gradient using two of the shades.
This collection was sent to me a very long time before I swatched it. There was some settling of glitters and a few separation issues. But after about 10 seconds of shaking each bottle was back to its beautiful self! I love how all 8 of these polishes flow together. Make sure to order these! You will be so happy you do!
Thanks for reading!
