Different Dimension Polishes for Crystal’s Charity Lacquers

Today I have three special polishes to share with you.  Missi from Different Dimension has made a trio for the Crystal’s Charity Lacquers May sale.  I have swatched for Crystal’s Charity Lacquers before and I am always happy to do so.  Crystal has been involved in fundraising for a number of years and in April of 2015 she started asking some of her favorite brands if they would be willing to create custom polishes for a raffle style draw.  She started her first actual campaign shortly after that and it sort of just snowballed into what it is today.

If you were at Polish Con you may have already seen these or even purchased them.  The actual launch date is May 12th and they will run through May 26th.

DIFFERENT DIMENSION + CRYSTAL CHARITY LACQUERS

The charity this month is the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Society.  Crystal named the polishes in a way that reflects the cause but also a bit cheeky like her mom.

“This is a charity that is very close to my heart as my mom has MS ad has battled the disease for more than 30 years.  I have grown up watching this illness slowly (and sometimes quickly) take away aspects of life that most of us take for granted.  The ability to stand, to walk, to feed yourself.  The ability to scratch an itch.  To push your hair out of your eyes.  These are just a small sample of day to day activities that most of us take for granted that MS has taken from my mom.” – Crystal

“dreaMS”

“dreaMS” is a lightened teal linear holo with added shimmer.  Shown is two coats plus top coat.

“KICKING MULTIPLE SCLEROS-ASS”

“Kicking Multiple Scleros-Ass” is a hot coral pink linear holo with added shimmers.  Shown is three coats plus top coat.

“NO MS’ING AROUND”

“No MS’ing Around” is a mint green linear holo.  Shown is two coats plus top coat.

“Multiple Sclerosis is often referred to as the snowflake disease; it affects no two people exactly alike.  Because of this, treatment is often difficult and costly.  The MS Society helps ease some of the burden to those diagnosed with MS through financial, emotional and research support.  When I was a child, people would often ask me what was wrong with my Mom.  Back then, it was rare that the person asking would have heard of MS.  Now, the response is too often “oh yeah, my friend/relative has that.” MS is on the rise and we need to fight back!!” – Crystal

I did a bit of nail art using the trio.  I first sponged on the colors over white and then added stamping using the Pueen Nail Party 01 plate.
