Today I have the new Cupcake Polish Ice Cream Trio to share with you.
Cupcake Polish is releasing many new things right now. I have already showed you the Radioactive collection and now I have the Ice Cream Trio to share. This set will make you sad that summer is ending soon and possibly a bit hungry. 😉 These three shades are all solar nail polishes that are perfect for the rest of our sunny days, even though here in Pennsylvania we haven’t had that many. All three of these change in the sun or with UV lighting. In addition to the Ice Cream trio, Cupcake Polish will also be selling the matching wax melt of the month from Ginger Fizz Boutique. The wax is a dreamsicle scent that goes along perfectly with the nail polish trio. Let’s take a closer look at the Cupcake Polish Ice Cream Trio.
CUPCAKE POLISH ICE CREAM TRIO
All three of these are single batch limited editions that have no recipe and will not be released again after they sell out. Act fast because the last time Cupcake Polish released solar polishes they flew off the shelves! A little info on my swatches… When I got these polishes there was no sun and it stayed gloomy and cloudy for the next week or so, unless I wasn’t home and able to swatch. I used a UV light for the transitions and only had issues with one that I will talk more about when it comes to that polish.
GAME OF CONES
“Game of Cones” is a solar nail polish that is lime green with red shimmer when indoors and teal with red shimmer when in the sun or in a UV light. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Below is the UV light effect.
I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM
“I Scream For Ice Cream” is a solar nail polish that is a bubblegum pink when indoors and purple with pink shimmer in the sun or in a UV light. Shown is two coats plus top coat.
Next is the purple shade after the transition.
IT’S SHERBERT DAY
“It’s Sherbert Day” is a solar nail polish that is coral with a blue shimmer when indoors and blurple with blue shimmer when in the sun or in a UV light. Shown is two coats plus top coat. This is the one that didn’t want to cooperate with me. Under the UV light it transitioned and was gorgeous but by the time my hand got to my camera it had gone back to coral. And I tried to catch the sun at least 5 times to no avail.
PRICE: $13 each for the polish and $2 for the wax melt – get the set for $35
